The non-profit trustee
The Center for Special Needs Trust Administration Inc., a 501(C) 3 non-profit incorporated in the State of Florida,(The Center) is the non-profit Trustee. The Center provides services that improve the quality of life of special needs trust and pooled trust beneficiaries giving peace of mind to beneficiaries, their caregivers, and the professionals who assist them.
These services, including a full range of specialized trustee, fiduciary asset management, and other related services, fill a gap in the marketplace.
Federal Law allows a non-profit to retain funds in a pooled trust at a Beneficiary’s death. It is important that the non-profit be in a unique position to retain the funds for use in the disabled community. The Center stands in this unique position because it has well-established relationships across the country in the communities it serves. Retained funds have supported public guardianship initiatives, model courtroom projects for the disabled, funding of academic faculty that promote the understanding of the aging population, as well as other programs.
